Make yourself at home in this comfortable two story home. Well appointed 2 BR, 1.5 BA townhouse is beautifully furnished and in a perfect location: close to LANL, downtown of Los Alamos, and easy exit to Santa Fe. 

Evaporative cooling, air conditioner and ceiling fans keep home comfortable in summer. Gas fireplace provides a warm, cozy setting for winter evenings. Walk in pantry/storage room. Wood floor in the living room, carpet in the bedroomsGreen, shady backyard is fully fenced and is very private, with large storage shed. Washer and dryer are in a laundry room within the unit. Off street parking directly in front of the townhouse.  Utilities, internet and Internet TV are included in price. 

Townhouse is within 5-10 minutes driving from LANL  (3.1 miles to TA-3, NSSB), 3 minutes driving to Smith grocery store, 2 minutes driving to LA fitness center, 5 minutes to YMCA, 4 minutes driving to Urgent Care (great facility, but hopefully you'll never have to use it!), 7 minutes driving to Hospital, 5 minutes driving to the Aquatic center with the Olympic sized indoor swimming pool. Playground, movie theater, library, tennis courts, swimming pool and trails are within a walking or short driving distance.

Townhouse is equipped with everything you need to make your stay in Los Alamos comfortable. Two spacious bedrooms and a full bath are located upstairs. Living room, kitchen, laundry room, and a half bath are downstairs. Living room opens to a shady patio with a gas grill. A large green lawn in front of the house (kids love to play there), a smaller lawn in the backyard. 

A full kitchen is complete with microwave, coffee makers, refrigerator, four burner stove/oven, toaster, pots, dishes, and other cooking/serving essentials. The kitchen is stocked with coffee, tea, creamers, cooking oil, etc. Sometimes guests leave extra food in the fridge and pantry, feel free to use it, but please check the expiration date! 


Master bedroom has a King size bed, a second bedroom has a trundle day bed with a second mattress that slides out from underneath. Mirror closets in both bedrooms. Bed linens, duvet covers and towels are provided. In the closet you will find extra towels, sheets, blankets, pillows.

Washer and Dryer are located in a laundry room, and supplied with different kinds of laundry detergent. We carry laundry detergent for people with sensitivities, as well as traditional type. In a laundry room there is also a full sized ironing board and iron. 

To make you feel more at home, we supplied apartment with toys, books, and puzzles for kids and adults. 

The Neighborhood

Enjoy walking to everything in our safe neighborhood! Cross Trinity drive and have a nice stroll to the restaurants and coffee shops of downtown. Gelato shop with its delicious treats and Pajarito Brewpub and Grill, some of the locals' favorites, are 2 minutes driving away.  Pajarito Brewpub hosts Monday night trivia and Tuesday night Karaoke.  Walk 9 minutes to the Rose Chocolatier for organic coffee, hot cocoa or chocolate mousse. Watch there the candy production as it happens!

Two minutes driving will take you to the Bradbury Science museum. The Nature center (fun for kids!), library and swimming pool are 5 minutes away. East Park playground (probably the biggest in town, and definitely the one with the most variety) and a free miniature golf course are 2 minutes driving away. Walk  to Ashley pond for a summer concert, or to feed ducks and fish. Walk 8 minutes (or drive 2) to the Canyon Rim Trail, one of the most popular and easiest trails in town (asphalt-surfaced trail starts by the Fire Department at 457 East Rd). In summer walk to Ashley pond for a free summer concert on Fridays, free music nights on Tuesdays, and free kids Movies at the Pond. 

Both of town's grocery stores are nearby. Smith grocery store (the largest in town) is 3 minutes driving away. CO+OP, a local natural food store with a great breakfast/lunch/dinner bar is 5 minutes away.

Getting Around

Atomic City Transit is a FREE bus system covering the City of Los Alamos and surrounding areas. It connects with NMDOT Park & Ride and North Central RTD buses. All local routes are fare free. Dispatch: (505) 661-RIDE (7433). Dispatch Hours: 6:00 am to 9:00 pm, Mon - Fri.

Bus stop is only 500 feet away, the nearest bus stop is at 4th and Central (take 4th to Central, turn left, walk about 10 yards to the POLE with the Atomic Transit sign and information). Downtown bus circulates every 15-30 minutes. A bus to Santa Fe (stops by the library) is 5 minutes driving away. Being close to the exit to Santa Fe, townhouse offers a convenient location for couples living between Los Alamos and Santa Fe and for those who'd like to explore the night life of Santa Fe (no public nigh life currently exists in Los Alamos, but if you find any please let me know!).

If you'd like to visit Bandelier, take a free Bandelier Shuttle. It operates seven days a week (including holidays) mid of May through mid of October. During this time personal cars are not allowed at Bandelier between 9AM and 3PM.

Other Things to Note

WiFi and TV

The WiFi speed is 20 Mbps. For TV we have a Sling TV with the following cable channels: ESPN, ESPN2, AMC, TNT, TBS, CNN, A&E, Lifetime, History, Food Network, HGTV, Travel Channel, Cartoon Network/Adult Swim, Disney Channel, ABC Family, IFC, H2, El Rey Network, Maker, Galavision. More channels including HBO can be provided for an additional fee.

Sling TV also allows 3-Day Replay on some of its channels. This feature lets you scroll back and watch any TV show that has aired on that channel over the last three days. Another feature giving you a DVR-like experience available on some of the Sling channels is Pause, Rewind, and Fast-Forward.


In addition to two national parks nearby (Bandelier National Monument and Valles Caldera), Los Alamos offers a 58-mile network of trails. In Los Alamos, you can always find a trail within 5-10 minutes of walking distance. For more information on LA trails try a Free LA TRAILS app. This app allows easy navigation of the trails in Los Alamos, Bandelier, and Valles Caldera.

Love to bike? A BIKE is waiting for you in the shed! Feel free to use it and enjoy the surroundings! 


Please keep in mind that the apartment is not equipped with additional safety features for toddlers. Stairs do not have a safety gate, and may not be appropriate for toddlers. Please refer to the picture of stairs in the pictures under Bedrooms tab to determine if railing will work for your child. Outlets are not protected with safety plugs. Windows at the 2nd floor are not child proofed. Apartment is perfect for adults, but please keep an eye on your little ones.

House rules

NO SMOKING inside the house (no exceptions).  Please be considerate of neighbors and maintain a reasonable level of quiet between 9 pm and 7 am.  Please try to leave the house in a reasonable state of tidiness, so other guests can have the same experience you did with a quick turn around. We understand that sometimes you might not have time to clean up dishes or pick up toys. It takes our cleaning lady 3-4 hours to clean the apartment between guests. If you feel that she will need more time, please try to compensate the extra time she has to spend. She is wonderful and we like to keep her happy! :) CLEANING FEE for short term stays is $75
